John M. Scheppach
Business / Contracts, Employment & Labor - Defense, Employment & Labor - Plaintiff (Transactional/Litigation)
Laguna Hills, California
Personal Introduction
John originally started his legal career in 2005 at the law firm of Allen Matkins Leck Gamble Mallory & Natsis LLP and worked there as an employment attorney until 2007. Thereafter, John had the distinction of clerking for multiple judges at the federal and state levels. John clerked for the Honorable Frederick Kapala, a federal district judge for the Northern District of Illinois, the Honorable Oliver Wanger, a federal district judge in the Eastern District of California, and at the California Court of Appeal, Third Appellate District, working first as an appellate attorney who served the court at large and then as a chambers attorney for Justice William Murray. In all, John has nearly four years working on behalf of the judiciary on a wide array of litigation and appellate matters covering numerous areas of law and, as a result, has rare insight and brings specialized knowledge to the table for each client. After his judicial clerkships, John returned to Allen Matkins in November 2011, resuming his private practice in employment law. In March 2016, John and his wife Julia formed Scheppach Law, Inc., a full-service employment law firm. John worked as shareholder of Scheppach Law, Inc. until March 2018, when Scheppach Bauer PC was formed.
