Johnathan Williams is a criminal defense attorney in Birmingham, Alabama providing DUI defense, traffic ticket defense, and criminal defense to Alabamians statewide in all 67 counties. Johnathan also has extensive experience and knowledge of the programs administered through the Railroad Retirement Act due to his many years of service with the Railroad Retirement Board (RRB) and counsels railroaders nationwide on strategies of how to get the most out of their RRB benefits. Johnathan has a deep knowledge of the inner workings of the RRB and can help you navigate through bureaucratic obstacles that can arise when dealing with the RRB. Growing up in a small town in Missouri, Johnathan learned the value of hard work at a young age while working on farms during middle and high school. During his military service in the US Army, Johnathan last served with the 10th Mountain Light Infantry Division in Fort Drum, New York. While with 10th Mountain, Johnathan was deployed to serve in Operation Enduring Freedom VII (OEF VII) in Afghanistan. Prior to beginning his law firm, Johnathan worked as a Program Representative with the RRB for 13 years, a federal government agency that manages various benefit programs for employees in the railroad industry. During his time with the RRB, Johnathan served employees in the railroad industry by handling their disability, retirement, unemployment, sickness, and Medicare claims. Johnathan was also tasked with managing a public relations program for the RRB and served as a liaison between the RRB and labor unions in the railroad industry. He graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a Bachelor of Science degree in business. He earned his Juris Doctorate from Birmingham School of Law.
