Personal Introduction

I joined Allred Bacon Halfhill & Young in 2009 (of counsel) with more than 25 years experience as a seasoned trial lawyer. Since 1988, I have devoted my practice to representing injured parties. I began my legal career as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney in Arlington, Virginia, and gained valuable trial experience with a firm specializing in insurance defense litigation. As Plaintiff’s counsel, I have handled numerous general liability and wrongful death matters, complex medical malpractice cases, including catastrophic birth injury, traumatic brain injury, obstetrical malpractice, psychiatric malpractice involving suicide, plastic and reconstructive surgery, infectious diseases, pharmacology, cardiac misdiagnoses, elevator and airplane accidents, construction defect matters, and intellectual property litigation involving misappropriation of trade secrets and proprietary information, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, copyright infringement, conspiracy, fraud, and violation of the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act.

In addition to my legal practice, I was an adjunct professor at The International School of Law and The George Mason University School of Law, teaching forensic evidence and directing the legal intern program. I was also an instructor at the Northern Virginia Criminal Justice Academy. I was a founding member and past President of The George Mason American Inns of Court at The George Mason University School of Law.
