Kristen Goss is the founder and managing partner of KWG Family Legal and Mediation Services, LLC. Her areas of focus include Divorce, Child Support, Timesharing, Adoption, Surrogacy, Dependency, Wills, Trusts, Probate, and Guardianship. Kristen was born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where she received her high school diploma from Fort Lauderdale Christian School. Thereafter, she earned a Bachelor of Science with a concentration in Communication Studies and Political Science and a minor in Spanish from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida, was a Certified Legal Intern for the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office, earned her Juris Doctorate with a concentration in Litigation from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School, and earned her Series 6 and life insurance licenses, serving as a Financial Advisor for a New York-based investment firm for 2 years. Kristen is a member in good standing with the Florida Bar, licensed to practice law in Florida, is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator, is collaboratively trained as a Family Law Attorney, and serves as a Certified Guardian ad Litem. Beyond her distinguished professional endeavors, Kristen is deeply committed to philanthropic efforts within the community. In 2004, she established a non-profit organization under the 501(c)(3) status, named “Kids Demonstrating Worth, Inc.” This initiative is dedicated to mentoring foster youth across South Florida. Her advocacy work extends to Capitol Hill, where she has interned to champion policy reforms aimed at enhancing the welfare of all Americans. Kristen also contributes her expertise as a Board Member and Co-Chair of Membership for the Broward Women’s Alliance, an organization that awards scholarships to a deserving and diverse cohort of women pursuing further education. As an Advisory Board Member and the Community Service Committee Chair for the Broward Black Chamber of Commerce, she plays a pivotal role in supporting the business community. Her leadership extends to serving as the President and a family law attorney within BNI Profit Partners. Additionally, she is an active member of the National Association of Divorce Professionals, where she represents the specialization in family law.
