Personal Introduction

After my service in the U.S. Army, I earned my law degree (J.D.) from the Northwestern University School of Law. I have been a Partner at a large Chicago law firm and Chief Patent Counsel at a leading peripheral vascular and neurovascular medical device manufacturer. I am currently the founder of LeFevour Law, LLC - a nationwide practice, offering patent prosecution and portfolio strategy services. My vast knowledge base from years of work experience, including significant patent litigation experience, means I am skilled at securing strong patents and building strategic IP portfolios.

Practice Summary

I concentrate my practice in patent prosecution and transactional matters. I have represented individuals, small corporations, and large corporations in patent and trade secret matters. I have also assisted clients with licensing rights to intellectual property. My experience in IP law has been diverse - representing clients in medical device technologies, software and internet-based technologies, manufacturing technologies, consumer products, financial exchange trading technologies, banking transaction technologies, gasoline pumping technologies, and cell phone communication and broadcast technologies. I am admitted to practice in the State of Illinois and before the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
