Personal Introduction

Michael Biederstadt is a recovering divorce attorney, who woke up to see the light. He now concentrates his practice in estate planning and family law, including collaborative divorce, mediation and uncontested matters. It is Michael's mission to keep Illinois families out of court and out of conflict. Mr. Biederstadt graduated from Loyola University Chicago in 2004 and then earned his Juris Doctorate in 2 ½ years and a semester early from Valparaiso School of Law in 2006. Mr. Biederstadt passed the Illinois bar exam immediately following graduation in early 2007. After 20 years of litigation, he realized that when it comes to families, the legal system is broken and he has found a better way to prevent life's most common legal problems: Death, Disability & Divorce.

Personal Interests & Charitable Work

In 2014, Mr. Biederstadt assisted in co-founding a 501(c)(3) Not-for-Profit legal organization, Rise From the Ashes (RFTA), that assists women in severing ties from an abusive relationship and who are in desperate need of legal assistance to remove themselves and/or their children from a horrific situation, but do not qualify for legal services through their local legal aid or county bar associations.
