Personal Introduction

I have over 35 years experience representing governmental entities, insurance companies, entrepreneurs, investors, and small to middle market businesses in litigation and transactional matters. My backgound in middle market M & A deals gives me a head start in litigating business disputes and my litigation background is helpful in my transactional work in avoiding contractual pitfalls that lead to litigation. Over the last few years I have transitioned somewhat from representing clients in insurance regulatory matters and litigation (although I still assist clients in that sector) to consumer class action work against insurers not living up to thier obligations to thier insureds. We have obtained over $200,000,000 in recoveries for class members against corporate defendants, including improper food labeling, failure to properly pay life insurance proceeds, improper payment of taxes on auto total loss claims, etc.
