Patrick brings extensive experience handling complex commercial litigation across a range of industries, including real estate, construction, advertising and marketing, professional services, insurers, manufacturers, retailers, and financial services. Patrick has tried cases in state and federal court and conducted arbitrations before the International Chamber of Commerce, and the two most prevalent arbitration associations in the United States, namely the American Arbitration Association and JAMS. His deep litigation background and knack for offering real-world risk assessment and implications have helped clients in situations involving product claims, employment issues, government regulatory actions and investigations, securities and consumer protection class actions, as well as false and deceptive advertising claims and consumer law. Patrick is also well-versed in addressing product claims and partnership disputes. Patrick has a proven ability to provide effective counseling in crisis situations and with respect to improving routine operations to minimize risk. He counsels regarding compliance with state and federal advertising requirements for consumers and in-house monitoring regarding third-party publishers’ compliance with same, cyber insurance (data breach) policies, management of safety-related product recalls, including indemnification and strategy regarding product recall insurance and supervision and direction of insurance panel counsel. His litigation background enables him to provide real-world assessment of risk and concrete implications of business decisions.
