He is skilled in the drafting and successful arguing of appellate briefs, summary judgment motions, and other complex and dispositive motions. He is experienced in all aspects of litigation from inception through trial and appeal. Scott graduated with honors from Florida State University College of Law. He served on the Florida State University Law Review as Executive Editor and Notes & Comments Editor. The Law Review also published his article about insurance coverage for hurricane damages. Scott studied trial practice and evidence under Professor Charles Ehrhardt. He received the book award (highest grade in class) in Jurisprudence. He also studied law during a summer abroad in Paris and Montpellier, France. During law school, Scott served as an intern to the Hon. Emerson Thompson of Florida’s Fifth District Court of Appeal. Scott completed his undergraduate studies at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, with a major in Psychology and a minor in International Studies. He spent a semester abroad at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia, studying international law and history. Scott is admitted to practice in all Florida state courts, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, the United States District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida.

Scott is on the board of directors for the South Palm Beach County Bar Association. He was co-chair of the Palm Beach County Bar Association Appellate Practice Committee for the 2021-22 bar year. He was a board member of the South Palm Beach County Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section for five years, and was the Young Lawyers Section’s President in the 2020-21 bar year. He also served for two years as the co-chair of the Appellate Practice Committee of the South Palm Beach County Bar Association. He is also a member of the Florida Bar’s Appellate Practice Section, the Florida Supreme Court Historical Society, The Fourth District Court of Appeal Historical Society, and the Palm Beach County Bar Association.
