Personal Introduction
I fell in love with law because of the opportunity to serve others, to motivate others and to improve my community. My love for people and appreciation for the opportunity to advocate for others allow me to stand out amongst other distinguished attorneys. It is my sincere desire to see people do better that drives me to learn the law, welcome open communication to understand my clients and passionately advocate noteworthy causes. I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. I always felt at home where given the opportunity to stand for a value, to fight for a cause and to persuade people to understand each other. I completed my high school education at Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire. After graduating from boarding school, I earned my undergraduate degree at Vanderbilt University majoring in Communications. Next, I studied law at Howard University School of Law in Washington D.C., a school with a rich history for producing social engineers. Prior to starting Hawkins Law, LLC, I lived in Post Apartheid South Africa in a mission to develop ways to make new found freedom meaningful for natives. Additionally, I volunteered at the Public Defender Service in Washington D.C. in the parole division, providing top notch legal defense to those most in need and unable to pay. At Hawkins Law, LLC, we appreciate our role in making today more meaningful than yesterday, one case at a time.

What is Overture?
Overture is an attorney-to-attorney referral network. Vetted attorneys refer matters they can’t take on to trusted colleagues and earn fee splits when they do, expanding what every attorney can offer their clients.
