Personal Introduction
Erik P. Weingold is an entrepreneur and corporate securities lawyer with nearly 30 years’ experience under his belt. His journey in the legal field began in 1995, when he started practicing law and quickly proved himself as a rising talent. In the early years of his career, Mr. Weingold demonstrated his legal acumen and entrepreneurial spirit while serving as the General Counsel to a startup encryption software company, Wormhole Technologies, Inc. It was here that he drafted his first Private Placement Memorandum (PPM), a pivotal endeavor that successfully secured seed capital financing of over $500,000 for the budding company. Building on this achievement, he expanded his expertise in drafting PPMs, using them as key instruments to raise many hundreds of millions of dollars for startups, real estate syndications/funds, and investment funds throughout the U.S. starting from 1998. Simultaneously, he climbed the professional ladder within the legal sector, moving from an associate at a law firm to serving as a corporate counsel for a renowned global Fortune 500 company. This role saw him navigate the complexities of corporate law on an international scale, further honing his capabilities. In an ambitious move, Mr. Weingold eventually founded Weingold Law-PPM LAWYERS, bringing his diverse experience and deep understanding of corporate securities law to his own practice. Since its establishment in 2015, he has utilized his extensive knowledge of SEC regulations and his entrepreneurial insight to guide hundreds of clients through successful funding rounds, cumulatively raising many hundreds of millions of dollars and solidifying his reputation as a leading figure in the field.

Practice Summary
PPM LAWYERS represents early and development stage and startup companies throughout the U.S. Our mission is to provide our clients with the highest quality and most professional private placement memorandum (PPM) and legal support available, while helping them navigate the complex securities laws governing their private placement and equity crowdfunding efforts. Our clients understand that they must avoid Big Law fees for this type of service (which can be $25,000 or more), but they also don’t want to settle for a bargain brand or less qualified legal professional. PPM LAWYERS fills this void by operating one of the only legal services firms in the U.S. that focuses exclusively on private placements.
