Michael Barcus

Personal Introduction

Michael Barcus graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. He received his Juris Doctorate with honors from South Texas College of Law in 2015. Michael has never been a stranger to hard work and the entrepreneurial lifestyle. Michael grew up in a family where his dad, older sister, and older brother (Capone's pizza anyone??) all owned successful businesses. Michael's wife Karla also owns her own tutoring company Kscholastic, Inc. Using the lessons learned from all his loved ones, Michael knew it was only a matter of time before he started, his own law firm. Immediately after law school, Michael aggressively sought to gain the experience, connections, and resources needed to be successful as an entrepreneur in the legal industry. In 2015, as a young lawyer Michael was solely tasked with representing hundreds of companies along the Gulf Coast whose businesses were harmed by the 2010 BP Oil Spill. Michael represented each of the client's viciously, some requiring representation all the way up the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals. Next, Michael transitioned his practice to other areas harming Gulf Coast residents - hurricanes and storm damage. Michael worked at a large Houston firm representing Texans for losses from Hurricane Harvey and other Storms. During this time Michael took the initiative to also take the Louisiana Bar so he could assist more harmed individuals.
